Hotel Sonne Interlaken-Matten - Unterseen

The hotel boasts a lovely balcony view and a prime location near the bus station and restaurants. Appreciated the quick laundry service during the holiday rush and the complimentary coffee on the floor was a nice touch. The bathroom was quite cramped and the decor seemed dated, which detracted from the overall charm. The staff exhibited a mix of helpfulness but sometimes appeared indifferent, disappointing.

Unbeatable location in a beautiful area just next door to the main interchange for a number of the tourist attractions, '' downtown '' Interlaken, and Murren. Neat room with clean bathroom and down pillows. Early check-in, parking on site.

Good and absolutely perfect setting in the fairly nice area, just next door to Interlaken valley with a very spectacular view right outside the window, the trains and the center of Interlaken by foot or bus. Lots of breads and cheese at breakfast.

Fine mountain views and really good customer service.

The bathroom was quite cramped. We also encountered issues with the room door, which required slamming to close properly. Finally, the restaurant's vegetarian-only menu was a letdown, as there were no alternatives available, which limited our dining options.

It was in a particularly good and absolutely perfect location in front of a bus station. Breads and cheese were better than expected. Appreciated our stay at hotel and will come back.

Big building and rooms with cozy decoration. Favourable location in the nice enough area, very close to downtown the other way as well as the railway station...

The owner was very helpful, he provided very valuable tips for us & was very helpful. This was also expressed by other hotel Guests. Hotel was a typical swiss hotel & we loved tit as it was different from most hotels that we stayed in. We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel. They had kept swiss chocolates in our Bed when we checked in, this made our children very happy.

The breakfast was all cold. This is probably it was a family run business & they could not hire many staff. But this was not a priblem for us, we enjoyed our stay.

The bathroom was quite small, typical for European standards, which may not work for everyone. The breakfast options were limited, with only vegetarian selections available. I found the noise from closing doors to be a bit bothersome.

The location was spot on. Loved my morning tea on the balcony. The local café across the street had really good breakfast options. The staff was super helpful with tips 😊

We had the chance to explore Matten bei Interlaken, where the fine mountain views were amazing. Our spacious room allowed for ample space, even with our large breed dog joining us. The easy access to local transportation made our outdoor adventures enjoyable.

My wife says that the bathroom could be more family-friendly.

Clean and Helpful, but Lacking Air Conditioning

I recently spent two nights with a group in a spacious room that was impressively clean. We really appreciated the coffee-making facilities and the fast internet access. The lack of air conditioning made it uncomfortable at night, even with the fan provided. A decent stay, but it could definitely benefit from cooling options.

The lovely mountain view from our room and the free city bus pass exceeded my expectations. The spacious and clean room with a private balcony made it even more special.
